How our Singapore rankings are made

By , Talent Sourcing Expert · Updated

Our Singapore rankings compare software companies using facts you can check yourself. For every company, the page lists its office or base and its headcount, then its public rating alongside the platform, the number of reviews and the day we read it, followed by its typical hourly rate and the services it declares.

Sources we read

Every list starts from the GoodFirms directory for the service in Singapore. We read the GoodFirms profile of each candidate: it records the office address, the headcount and the hourly rate band, plus how the company says its work splits across services, industries and client sizes. For some companies we also read Clutch and Sortlist profiles for their own ratings and review counts. The check date appears below the comparison table of each ranking.

How a company gets onto a list

Without a readable profile, a company gets no place on the list. Firms with an office in Singapore score better than those without one, and so do firms whose declared work is largely the ranked service. On industry pages we also look at the share of projects declared in that industry. Public reviews count too, shown next to their platform and date. Agencies whose declared effort is mostly marketing sit lower, and their card says so.

Order on the page

Once these facts are read, our editors set the order. No hidden formula sits behind it, and we publish no overall score for any company. Teams serving Singapore clients remotely state on their card where they are based, so you can weigh the time difference and on-site meetings.

Reading a card

Each card shows the office or base, the headcount, the rating with its platform, count and date, the hourly rate band and the projects the company suits best, and at times a point to raise before signing. A field that reads n/a, or a rate shown as on request, is one the company does not disclose.

Keeping lists current

Each ranking shows the date of its last review at the top. Every review reads ratings, review counts and rates again. If you spot an outdated fact, send it through the contact page with a link to the source and we will verify it before editing the page.

Questions about our rankings

Which platforms do the ratings come from?

Every rating names its platform. Most are taken from GoodFirms, and some from Clutch or Sortlist, always alongside the review count and the date we read them. We do not combine ratings from different platforms.

Why is a company without a Singapore office on the list?

A few teams work remotely for Singapore clients. Their card says where they are based, so you can judge the time difference and how often you will meet face to face.

When was this ranking last checked?

At the top of every ranking is the date of its last review. Each review reads ratings, review counts and rates again, and any correction sent with a source gets verified before the page is edited.
