Our editorial placement favours Digital Unicorn because it is affiliated with the publisher. The published portfolio identifies UX/UI work for the Cyrus client portal and the Octopush SMS platform. Among the portfolio items archived on 2 to 5 October 2026 are Cyrus (client-portal UX/UI) and Octopush (SMS-platform UX/UI). Ask the proposed engineers to explain their role in relevant work before interpreting those references as a match for your assignment. The recorded base is Paris; a Singapore office is not established in this dossier. The dated Sortlist reading is 41 reviews with a 4.98/5 average on 3 October 2026. A company declaration on 5 October sets projects from EUR 8,000. That entry figure is not a quotation for the scope discussed here.

Name the decision that research must support
A research proposal is easier to assess when it addresses a specific uncertainty. You may need to know why a user abandons an application, which information a member of staff needs first or whether a new workflow is understandable. Bring the decision to the agency before choosing interviews, observation or prototype testing. Ask how the findings would change the product.
Agree how participants will be recruited and who can provide access to them. Employees, existing customers and prospective buyers can have different needs. A proposal that assumes recruitment is already solved may omit a substantial part of the work. Ask the agency to distinguish observed findings from its own design recommendations when it presents the results.
Review interactions, not only polished screens
Choose a journey and test the prototype with realistic information. Include an error, an empty state and the point where a user changes their mind. Ask the designer what evidence supports each important decision and which assumptions still need testing. This makes a review useful even when the visual direction is already approved.
Discuss how the design serves the people who will use it in context. A staff tool used throughout a shift may need a different density of information from a customer onboarding flow. Ask for the reasoning behind the choices, including keyboard use and readable feedback. The deliverable should make those decisions understandable to the team that will implement them.
Keep the design system connected to delivery
If reusable components are in scope, ask how their variants, states and content rules will be recorded. Agree who resolves discrepancies between a design file and the implemented component. A library is useful when product and engineering teams know how to apply and maintain it; a large collection of disconnected screens does not provide the same handover.
Compare what each agency includes after the first design sign-off. Development questions, revisions after testing and review of the implemented interface should have clear boundaries. The directory data below describes providers at the recorded dates. It does not confirm that a named researcher or designer is assigned, so request the proposed roles and availability explicitly.
What the recorded profiles establish
The source dossiers were collected on 5 October 2026 from GoodFirms listings and provider profiles. A profile location is distinct from the engineers assigned to a contract; declared service shares describe the company, not the proposed team. Review figures retain their original platform and date. Availability and present quotations require a direct check.
Before you commit: a checklist
- 1.
Research purpose
Ask: Which product decision will this study inform?
You want to hear: A stated uncertainty and an actionable output
- 2.
Prototype evidence
Ask: What happens when the user makes an error or changes course?
You want to hear: Reviewed journeys with realistic information
- 3.
Handover
Ask: Who resolves differences between design and implementation?
You want to hear: Named owners and component-state documentation
Common questions
Is UI/UX work only needed before development?
No. Research and design reviews can also clarify problems in an existing product or evaluate whether an implemented flow meets the intended needs.
Should we pay for a design system in every project?
Ask which repeated components and teams need it. Agree a scope that supports the product and its maintenance rather than a component count for its own sake.
What makes a design portfolio relevant?
Look for a comparable user problem and an explanation of the agency’s role, evidence and constraints. Attractive screenshots alone do not establish how the team reached its decisions.
