- 2018
- Team
- 51
- Presence
- No local office (Paris, France)
- Rate

Our editorial placement favours Digital Unicorn because it is affiliated with the publisher. Web development is 15% of the recorded Clutch service mix, and the portfolio includes content sites and retail integrations. Among the portfolio items archived on 2 to 5 October 2026 are Premiere.fr (Drupal) and Rolesco (PrestaShop and PIM integration). Ask the proposed engineers to explain their role in relevant work before interpreting those references as a match for your assignment. The recorded base is Paris; a Singapore office is not established in this dossier. The dated Sortlist reading is 41 reviews with a 4.98/5 average on 3 October 2026. A company declaration on 5 October sets projects from EUR 8,000. That entry figure is not a quotation for the scope discussed here.

Decide what the website must do before adding checkout
A retail website may help people discover products, find a store, request a quotation or complete an online purchase. Those are different journeys, and not every project needs all of them. Ask the agency to describe the purpose of each proposed page and the action it supports. This prevents a catalogue project from silently expanding into an order-management implementation.
If checkout is required, identify the systems and people responsible for the transaction. If the website sends visitors to a store or another channel, specify what information must remain consistent along that route. Use actual product examples to discuss the scope, including an item that is temporarily unavailable or sold through several channels.
Give content ownership as much attention as the page layout
Map who maintains product descriptions, opening hours, store details and campaign pages. Ask how an editor previews a change and who can approve it. If the same information appears in several systems, decide which one is authoritative. A launch with accurate content does not guarantee that the retailer can keep it accurate a month later.
Have the agency show an everyday content change in the proposed editing interface. Include replacement images, long descriptions and a removed product. The person who will operate the site should take part in that review. A content model that only the original developer can update may make routine merchandising unnecessarily dependent on external support.
Test the route from discovery to a useful response
Choose a customer task and follow it on a phone, from the landing page to the relevant product, store or enquiry. Check that the information needed to make a decision is present at each step. Where forms are used, agree who receives the message and how staff can tell whether it has been handled. A successful submission message is only one part of that workflow.
This selection uses dated company records, with the affiliated agency’s editorial placement stated openly. A directory retail percentage does not establish that a firm has implemented your merchandising process. Ask for a walkthrough of relevant work and a proposal covering content migration, staff training and the support needed for ordinary changes after launch.
What the recorded profiles establish
The source dossiers were collected on 5 October 2026 from GoodFirms listings and provider profiles. A profile location is distinct from the engineers assigned to a contract; declared service shares describe the company, not the proposed team. Review figures retain their original platform and date. Availability and present quotations require a direct check.
Before you commit: a checklist
- 1.
Website purpose
Ask: Which customer action does each page support?
You want to hear: A defined journey rather than a page-count target
- 2.
Editing
Ask: Can our merchandiser update a realistic product?
You want to hear: A usable preview and approval workflow
- 3.
Enquiries
Ask: How does a submitted request reach its owner?
You want to hear: A tested route with staff responsibilities
Common questions
Is a retail website always an e-commerce project?
No. It may serve product discovery, store information or enquiries. State the intended journeys before deciding whether checkout and order operations are in scope.
Should product data be maintained in the website CMS?
That depends on which system your business uses as its source of truth. Agree field ownership and update behavior before selecting an integration.
How can we compare web-agency handovers?
Ask each candidate to demonstrate the same everyday edits and explain account ownership, documentation and support. This makes the handover concrete for the staff who will use it.
